This must be my lucky week. Not only did I get all that loveliness yesterday. Today I got an old mannequins head from a shop to use for display of my hats. And! A friend must have remembered that I'd once mentioned that our hoover is broke. So, today he offered us one! He's just moved and no longer in need of it. And... I am booked in as a hairmodel for next friday to have a cut and color. Exciting! Oh, and also for my birthday (june 19) I am havin a bbq/picnic to celebrate myself and MIDSUMMER, and this guy might play and sing for us, yay. What a good day!
Now, I really need to get them business cards done. And sort my website.
How lucky can a girl be! Look what I was GIVEN today.
This lot of beautiful teak furniture lived with a man and his wife. The man had inherited the lot from his parents. And now the furniture had to move out. Luckily for the teak-lot I was around to give it a new home.
The drinks cabinet got sliding doors. A light inside it switches on and off when you open them. As you can see from the (poor quality mobile pics), the inside is covered with mirrors , and it got a black mirrored base and a smaller glass shelf. Beautiful reflections. The sideboard is a classic, with cutlery drawers and side cabinets. And the coffee table - this beauty is a Danish design original by Georg Jensen manufactured by Kubus, with radiating veneers at top...
Aaaaah, I sure am a lucky cheese*.
I will fall asleep with a smile on my face tonight. x
Ok folks. It is time. The exhibition opens up this saturday and runs to August the 23rd. BYHUSET is celebrating its 15 years anniversary this summer so the overall theme is RETRO . A retrospectiv look at their previous exhibitions is exhibited at Jällen (the big barn)with work by 40 different artists all whom have previously exhibited at Byhuset. My work can be seen in the cafe.
Here's the official invite from lovely Agneta, the owner of this amazing place:
I've got this feeling in my stomach. I am a bit nervous. On saturday there is an opening, of an exhibition in Sweden. And I'm part of it. Unfortunately I can't be there, but I'll make it later in the summer. Now, just finishing off the last bits for it, and hoping for it to go well, and that my part will look ok.
